Asuka Kasen is a co-leader of the Liberty City Yakuza. She provides jobs for Claude Speed and introduces him to her brother, Kenji Kansen. In Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories she is reckoned to have a deceased older brother, Kazuki Kasen.

Asuka is shown torturing Miguel later in the game. She instructs Claude to destroy Catalina's Spank drug operation. She and Miguel are killed eventually, by Catalina.

On Grand Theft Auto III's official site, police records show that Asuka had arrived in the United States in 1991, 10 years before the events of GTA III. Asuka had a leadership role in the Yakuza thanks to her "torture, security, and information retrieval" skills.

It is strongly implied that Asuka is bisexual, examples being when she tied up Maria and played sadomasochistic games with her and when Claude is finished with her missions and she says, "I like that in a man". She acts similarily in Grand Theft Auto Advance.

Asuka Kasen was voiced by Lianna Pai.
