Asuka Kasen is a co-leader of the Liberty City Yakuza. She provides jobs for Claude Speed and introduces him to her brother, Kenji Kansen. In Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories she is reckoned to have a deceased older brother, Kazuki Kasen.

Asuka is shown torturing Miguel later in the game. She instructs Claude to destroy Catalina's Spank drug operation.

Asuka has a leadership role in the Yakuza thanks to her "torture, security, and information retrieval" skills.
