With San Andreas arriving on the PC, gameplay mods and other options that weren't possible on the PS2 version are opened up.

Tools (needs to be ported to the wiki!) This page will list some of the tools needed for modding, they allow you to access and edit files, that you can't get to otherwise, to allow you to change things around. Credit to monkey_ninjas316 for finding this information and putting it together as well as typing it all up. Tools:

Description - Lets you change what vehicle is inside your garage.

Tool Name - S.A. Mission Builder
Author - Barton Waterduck
Description - Lets you change the .scm files (script files) in San Andreas. You must
read the read-me included to learn how to understand the code.

Tool Name - San Andreas Place Manager
Author - Jacob and Racer_S
Description - This will let you save and view locations that you can teliport to at any time.

Tool Name - TXD workshop 3.4beta
Author -Delfi
Description - This will let you edit the .txd files in San Andreas. It is important to back up your files because this program is still a beta.

Description - Lets you open up .img files. This program supports all 3 GTA games on the PC

~~Gameplay Mods~~ this page is on the wiki This page will list some of the mods that are out there at the moment, some made by members of Neoseeker. Note that some of them will no longer cause your saved games to work, so if you want to try them out you are probably best trying those ones before starting a proper game. Credit to monkey_ninjas316 for finding this information and putting it together as well as typing it all up. Mods:

Mod Name - Transfender Fix
Author - OffRoader23
Description - This allows you to take any car or truck into the modding garage.
Download Location - Here
Installation Instructions: Find the file named carmods.dat located inside the Data folder. Then simply replace it with the new carmods.dat file you just downloaded.

Mod Name - Enhanced Tire Traction
Author - Blue Zircon
Description - This will make sure your cars don't skid when on grass, sand or when it is raining

Installation Instructions: Locate the file named surface.dat inside the Data folder. Then replace the old surface.dat with the other surface.dat file you just downloaded.

Mod Name - Skateboard
Author - Chris82
Description - This mod replaces your shovel and lets you use a skateboard as a melee weapon.

Installation Instructions: Open up your Data folder found inside the San Andreas Directory. Then replace the file default.ide with the new one you just downloaded. Next, rename the file weapon_skateboard.dat to weapon.dat and replace the old weapon.dat file. The skateboard is located behind Ryders house.

Mod Name - Hitman Level For All Weapons
Author - Blue Zircon
Description - This will give your weapons the level of 'hitman' from the start.

Installation Instructions: Replace the file weapon.dat located inside the data folder with the new weapon.dat.

Mod Name - New wheels
Author - TighT
Description - Gives you new rims and wheels for all your cars sand trucks.

Installation Instructions: Open up the models folder found in the San Andreas directory, next open up the Generic folder inside. Now replace the file wheels.txd with the new one.

Mod Name - Stats Plus
Author - Knife
Description - With this mod, everything is free and you get more sex appeal and respect for the things you buy.

Installation Instructions: Find the file ar_stats.dat inside the data folder. Then simply replace it
with the new one.

Mod Name - The Chaos Mod
Author -mvi
Description - This mod will make it so all of the pedestrians fight with each other.

Installation Instructions: Open up the data folder found in the San Andreas directory. Then simply replace the files ped.dat and pedstats.dat with the new ones.

Mod Name - Hot Coffee Mod {+18, not for children}
Author - PatrickW
Description - This mod will add a small mini-game that will let you have "coffee" with your Girlfriend.

Installation Instructions: First rename hotcoffee_main.scm to main.scm. Next open up the Data
folder located inside the San Andreas directory. Now replace the old main.scm with the new one.
IMPORTANT - After this mod is installed you must start a new game. Your saved games will no longer work

Mod Name - Double Wield All Weapons
Author - Blue Zircon
Description - This mod lets you dual wield more weapons.

Installation Instructions:

weapon - #1.dat: Allows you to dual wield Pistols, Silenced Pistols, Desert Eagles, Combat Shotguns, Sawn-Off Shotguns, SMGs, M4s, and AK-47s, and Miniguns.

weapon - #2.dat: Allows you to dual wield only Pistols, Silenced Pistols, Desert Eagles, Sawn-Off Shotguns, Machine Pistols, Tec9s, and SMGs.

Rename the weapon.dat of your choosing provided in this zip and replace it with the one in your your San Andreas 'data' folder.

Mod Name - 10x Draw Distance
Author - gemini
Description - With this mod you can now see farther then ever before.

Installation Instructions: Open up the data folder located inside the San Andreas directory. Now replace the timecyc.dat file with the new one you just downloaded.
IMPORTANT - This mod should not be used on low-end computers.

Mod Name - San Andreas Opened Up
Author - Craig Kostelecky
Description - This will open up all cities from the start of the game.

Installation Instructions: Open your data folder located inside the San Andreas directory. Then replace the old main.scm with the new one.
IMPORTANT - For this mod to work you must start a new game. Saved games from before installing this mod will not work.

Mod Name - The GTA SA Control Center
Author - Alper Saracoglu
Description - For the un-patched or patched original version of the game, it features the ability to freeze mission timers that count up (like school missions use), teleportation to co-ordinates (Tags, Liberty City, Unique Jumps, etc.), the ability to make C.J. or any vehicle he's in "Everything-Proof," make C.J.'s bullets cause one hit kills, spawn vehicles (including the Phoenix, Andromeda, any of the three Hotring Racers, S.W.A.T. van, F.B.I. truck, etc.), assign vehicles to garages, and hotkeys, Stat editing, etc.
